Claire gave two guest lectures in the Spring of 2020 to 1st Years & 3rd Years at the School of Film & Television at Falmouth University.
Her lectures, entitled 'Creative Freelancing' focussed on her experiences in the first 3-5 years of freelancing within the film industry after graduating from Falmouth.
Claire discussed her values-led approach to work, talked through the main considerations about going freelance or starting a new business and offered tailored advice to the different year groups about what they could consider for the next moves.
After both lectures, students approached Claire for some one-on-one questions and for general advice.

Claire returned to give a guest lecture in the Autumn of 2018 to Masters students at the School of Film & Television at Falmouth University.
Her talk discussed her chosen route through the MA, which offers a broad path, ranging from academic writing, to film production, to scriptwriting.
Claire explained her academic choices, spoke about her positive experiences and gave advice based on what she found difficult during her studies.
The guest lecturing at Falmouth was followed by a group Q&A style seminar.

Guest lecturing at Falmouth
Claire returned to give a guest lecture in the Autumn of 2017 to 3rd year students at the School of Film & Television at Falmouth University.
Claire returned a year on from graduating to talk about her experience as a new freelancer, and to walk the 3rd year students undertaking practical portfolios through what to expect during their year ahead.
In her final year, Claire completed a 2-film sound portfolio, and a large part of the lecture walked through her creative and technical process to complete the work.
She offered advice about scheduling, planning around several crews and how to use the work as a launchpad for future creative commissions.
